かつては酷い肌荒れで悩んでいた看護士の友人、L’Occitane（仏）の石鹸を使うようになってからは調子がいいらしいので我が家でも試してみることに。
Gは肌がひび割れて痛くなるほどの乾燥肌なのです。（効果がみられた時にはまたご報告しますね）

数種類の香りの中から、ほんのり柑橘系の香りがするVerbena（クマツヅラ）を選びました。
泡がふわ～っと軽くて気持ちいい^^

ヴィクトリアスポンジケーキ　Victoria Sponge Cake

Sが学校でヴィクトリア・スポンジケーキ（ヴィクトリア・サンドウィッチ）を焼いてきました。
ジャム（＆クリーム）入りのスポンジケーキが大好物だったヴィクトリア女王の名前に因んでこのケーキ名が付けられたのだそう。

Rの日本語　～あいうえお＆かずの本、絵本 R’s Japanese Vowels, Numbers & Picture books

この頃文字に興味を持ち始めたR、毎日これで遊んでいます。
「こえでおぼえる１２３かずのほん」と「こえでおぼえるあいうえおのほん」
届いてからまだ数日ですが20までの数字が大体わかるようになりました。

TMA 02

オープンユニバーシティ（OU）で心理学の大卒資格を取るため、今年の５月から基礎知識の一つとして社会科学を学んでいます。昨日はその二回目の宿題（エッセイ）提出期限日でした。
課題は「近代消費社会における消費の場を理解するためにthe seduced とthe repressedのコンセプトの役割を論じなさい」というもの。

I’m studying ‘Social science’ for a Psychology degree at the Open University. It started this May. Yesterday was the cut-off date of the second assignment which was called ‘Discuss the role of concepts of the seduced and the repressed for understanding the place of consumption in contemporary society’.

英語の本は・・・その昔Gから贈られた薄～い児童書「チャーリーとチョコレート工場」でさえ完読したことのない私、
大学のテキストを読んでいても英語が頭の上を滑り落ちていってさっぱり記憶に残らないのです。
そして思いついたのが、イラストを描くこと。 ESOLの先生がよくイラストを使い、簡素化して説明していました。そのイラストまでもノートに取っていてクラスメイトに笑われていたのですが。（笑）私には文字で書き残すよりも絵の方が記憶に残り易いようです。

I had never read any books which are written in English, even thin children’s book like ‘Charly and Chocolate Factory’. This was a gift from G a long time ago. So it’s very hard for me to memorise what I study. I can feel English words were just slipping out of my head.
One idea that I came up with; drawing illustrations. This idea came from my ESOL lessons. I remembered that our teacher often used illustrations to explain and simplify things. Sometimes classmates laughed at me because I copied the illustrations into my notebook as well.
Illustrations are a better way for me at the moment.
